15 representatives of 9 civil society organizations from Macedonia participated at the training for online media communication and usage of internet platforms for promoting activities and results of CSOs, which was held in MIM’s premises from 16th to 18th of December 2009.

The goal of this training was to give the NGOs detailed input into the process and practices of online media today, as well as on the modern forms and tools for promoting the work of CSOs through various Internet platforms. The workshop was focused on gaining some basic knowledge and practical skills, but throughout the training strong accent was placed on transferring practical knowledge on how to promote and share content, and build a sustainable and recognizable brand on a longer term online.

The training was conducted by Zoran Ricliev, Darko Buldioski and Petrit Saracini, experts for on-line media, on-line journalism and public relations for civil society-organizations.

This training is a part of MIM’s activities in the frames of the Civil Society Straightening Project (CSSP). It is a five year project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and implemented by a consortium led by the Institute for Sustainable Communities (ISC) that includes the European Center for Not-for-Profit Law (ECNL), Konekt and the Macedonian Institute for Media (MIM).  The mission of CSSP is to increase citizen participation in political and social decision-making through broadening and deepening the impact of civil society.
