<p>The students from 25 primary and secondary schools across Macedonia are being introduced with different topics related to media literacy within the subject of mother tongue during April. These classes are part of the evaluation process of the project &#8220;Media literacy education in Macedonia” which has been running since 2009 and is conducted by the Macedonian Institute for Media, the Institute for Democracy and the European Journalism Center in cooperation with the Bureau of Education Development.</p>

<p>Around 50 trainings for about 1,000 teachers from primary and secondary schools have been held within the project since its beginning. During the evaluation phase, 25 trained teachers will apply the acquired knowledge and practical skill in class. On the classes&nbsp; realized in the meantime the students had opportunity to create front page, to analyze newspapers, to write news and other similar topics from the field of media literacy.</p>
<p>The project is financially supported by the MATRA program of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Macedonian Institute for Media is one of the leading organizations in Macedonia which is committed to training, consulting and providing different content in the field of public relations and&nbsp; communication with the media. Even in 2003, the Institute published the handbook “How to Communicate With the Media”, which is first of its kind in the country and is widely used for gaining basic knowledge about public relations in Macedonia. In 2008, MIM established the School for Journalism and Public Relations, which meant delivering formal high education in this sphere, for a first time.&nbsp; &nbsp;</p>
<p>Except education for learning the basic skills and tools for public communication, organization of events, brainstorming and conducting campaigns, MIM delivers services related to more complex topics in the field of public communication, such as creating and framing messages, creating communication strategies and plans, systems and procedures for corporative communications, managing and budgeting the PR, management in crisis etc.</p>
