Four civil society organizations will implement projects to promote policies and practices for development of media literacy

The Macedonian Institute for Media, in the past period as a part of the regional project "Media for Citizens - Citizens for the Media", announced a call for grants for civil society organizations and conducted a procedure for selecting the best project proposals.

At the call, which was opened from January 28 to February 28, 2019, thirty nine (39) civil society organizations from the country submitted their proposals for the two groups of activities that will be supported through the grant program. The first group refers to projects aimed at improving the skills for media and information literacy of citizens. The second group focuses on art, media and technology projects that promote innovation and accessibility to media and information literacy education.

After completing the administrative examination of the applications, the jury commission conducted a procedure for qualitative evaluation of the project proposals that successfully passed the administrative check. Based on the evaluation of the jury, the Project Steering Committee decided to support the four (4) project proposals that were best rated.
